In 2024, Mexico has 34.8 million international seats scheduled, a 1.9% increase from 2023. The airlines with the highest participation are American Airlines and Aeroméxico. Cancún, Mexico City, and Guadalajara are the airports with the most scheduled seats.

According to the Southeast Airport Group (ASUR), which manages Cancún Airport, there will be an investment of 21.477 billion pesos to expand and improve airport infrastructure through 2028 to meet the growing demand of travelers. The ninth edition of the athletics race will start on Sunday, January 21. With three categories of 3, 5 and 7 kilometers, 800 athletes are expected to participate. The race will have three modalities: Tortuga (3 km), Coatí (5 km) and Jaguar (7 km), in both branches. The first places will receive prizes, and at the end there will be a raffle for gifts from the sponsors.

This is an expected event in the Riviera Maya and has become a tradition known as the Río Secreto athletic race. The competition will take place starting at 6:30 a.m. on January 21 at the facilities of the eco-tourist park south of Playa del Carmen.
